Glad to have found this forum. I’ve always loved classic dogs and have owned three Pinecoble female over the last 18-years. There is nothing that I would rather do than spend time with Tess, my current setter. To me she is the ideal grouse dog and she is great company as well when I am not hunting. It too bad Warren has stopped breeding his dogs. Anyway, glad to be among kindred spirits.
Cheers!

I understand you may have a line on a tricolor male. I might be interested in the future if you would let me know who and where.

Warren left a big hole when he retired. A lot of us miss him.
Welcome to the forum!

Hello! I like you already. I got my first dog from Warren, and named her Tess! We owe a great, great deal to the Warren as an early and first adopter of practices we may take for granted today. The ease with which these dogs fit into family life when they are not in the coverts is one of their great under celebrated virtues.
Please come back and post again soon!

Let’s start over again. It’s been far too long since I have dropped in. Started a new job and life has been a little chaotic. I had planned to breed Tess with a spectacular make I found here in Michigan but after consulting with my vet, I’ve decided not to proceed. This was a very difficult decision, but I am confident it is the best decision for Tess. So… I guess it’s time to start the search for a pup.

Welcome back. Sorry to hear that circumstances have changed your plans but agree that the welfare of our dogs has to be the first concern. Hopefully you will find a member having pups of your taste before long.

Those decisions can be pretty rough sometimes. I feel for you.
Maybe someone else would be interested in breeding to the male?
