I’m just putting this out there for people doing a search looking for a testing center.
The Audiology department at Idaho State University in Pocatello, ID has recently begun BAER (hearing) testing. We have used them for two litters at this point and so far our experience has been outstanding. Better than anywhere we’ve gone, and we have had testing done in a number of places around the country. They have 2-3 people running the test- one who does the computer end, the others put the electrodes and earpieces in place. This makes it go VERY fast. If you know how to handle the puppies/dogs they will do it sans anesthesia, plus the price is especially reasonable. So, I recommend them highly to anyone who is within driving distance. For us it is less then 3 hours compared to the 7 hour drive we used to be stuck with going over to Boise (yay!), but I would probably still go here if the driving time was reversed. If I were anywhere in S. Idaho, N. Utah, W. Wyoming, or even W. Montana this is where I would go.

Another way to locate someone who tests is to contact AKC English setter or Dalmatian club members and see who they use.
