Ryman Setter Books and Readings

Good Afternoon All,

Now that the bird season has closed, I find myself spending most winter evenings reading.  I have read The Real Ryman Setter, The Upland Shooting Life and today I finished A Gentleman’s Shooting Dog by John Taylor.

Does anyone have any Ryman related books or literature you recommend?

There isn’t anything more out there about the Rymans. Since you’ve read Walt’s book you probably already realize that most of what has been written about George Ryman and the Ryman Kennel is fiction. I recommend finding copies of Ryman’s sales brochures and do your best to digest what he wrote. Be careful looking around the web because people who don’t understand what he did often plagiarize the work of others.
